iSTEAM mission is to increase student awareness and knowledge of educational opportunities and careers in STEAM discipline who were otherwise denied such opportunities.

Who We Are

iSTEAM is a organization that provide students with an overtly intensive and outstanding educational experience that augment student learning and accomplishments. This experience will provide our students with the knowledge and skills required to achieve academic success and contribute to the increased well-being of their communities. 

Strategies & Plans

An Integrated program in STEAM, and the Arts will allow students to engage in real world problems and experiences through project-based and experiential learning activities that can lead to higher order thinking and metacognitive awareness. This program will engage students in STEAM disciplines that integrates STEAM, with hands-on field experiences, exposure to the arts, science, and theater.
MEET OUR TEAM

MISSION STATEMENT

iSTEAM Leadership Project (ISTEAM) mission is to fulfill the individual needs of underserved students through collaborative learning and innovation. To accomplish this mission iSTEAM will educate the students in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM), and increase awareness of careers available for them in STEAM fields and to build a lifelong audience for the arts. Our expectation is to empower students to become scholars of change by inspiring an obligation to self, others, the environment, and community.

OBJECTIVE

The program objective is to incorporate a strong entrepreneurial component, mentoring, and exposure to role models from academia and industry that will facilitate the development of students into future STEAM business leaders who will not only participate in the STEAM workforce, but also contribute to the expansion of a STEAM based economy.

GOALS

Our goals are to increase student awareness and knowledge of educational opportunities and careers in STEAM disciplines.
 Increase student knowledge, skills, and practices represented in STEAM and/or STEAM workforce.
Increase participation of underrepresented populations in STEAM programs and careers.
Empower students to become “scholars of change' with an emphasis on positive character development and community engagement.
